The digital classroom and IDB

In a digital class, a simple board (IDB) or a wall become a gigantic computer screen upon which the teacher or students can, with a pen or a stick, write, erase, display text, illustrations, multimedia resources (video, 3D), animations, interactive exercises.

Complex ideas can be better understood and better learned. Students learn with pleasure, the IDB which enriches educational practices is becoming indispensable to teachers.

The IDB designed for the class makes it possible to collectively use digital content from the teacher’s computer through an interactive video projector. In the Sankoré program, this content is unrestricted and free, and covers every teaching program.

The different IDB technologies chosen by Sankoré

1/ The infrared interactivity kit, adaptable to any standard video projector, attached to the ceiling for an interactive digital wall (IDW). The entire projection surface is transformed into a gigantic interactive screen.

2/ The all in one video projector is attached to the projection wall, which becomes interactive (IDW)

3/ The traditional interactive white board or IWB. This is a genuine physical board, which is placed in front of the wall or on the wall facing the students. It is combined with an interactive video projector as well.

The Open-Sankoré software offers all the basic features to make teach the class on the IDB

The Open-Sankoré software makes it possible to write, erase, enlarge, reduce, embed on course pages, depending on the needs and disciplines, text, images, films, animations, graphics, simulators, etc.

The Open-Sankoré makes it possible to run the resource produced for the student and the educational content for leading the class intended for the teacher simultaneously.

This resource can then be taken by the teacher to improve, update, or supplement it.

The teacher’s digital desktop.

The teacher is aided in grasping the different digital class materials and the Open-Sankoré software through tutorials.

These tutorials enable simple and rapid self-training which supports and supplements the classical training sessions organized face-to-face with local training teachers. To prepare the digital class, the teacher has a library of unrestricted, free digital teaching resources, covering the entire school year’s program by level and by discipline.

Each visual class support designed for students is accompanied by a teacher’s bar, which offers sheets on teaching the class with each visual.

These sheets indicate the best educational uses for the resource. The teacher has, on this “teacher bar,” video sequences illustrating the educational uses of the resources.

They will be recorded with experienced French and African teachers to serve as an example and for drawing inspiration from.

The Open-Sankoré software makes it possible to pool resources and best educational practices.

Teachers in the Sankoré network can use the resources, without restriction and for free, that they find on the Planet Sankoré portal or using the Open-Sankoré software, they can adapt them to their idea.

Sankoré provides access to the revolution of creativity of the teacher, multiplied by the strength of digital and the web
